How Routivo Routing Works

Routing flow

When a visitor clicks your Routivo link:

1. Routivo detects context signals:

• Country (from IP, anonymized)
• Device type (mobile or desktop)
• Time of visit (local hour)
• Traffic source (referrer domain)

2. Rules are evaluated top-to-bottom:

• First matching rule wins
• If no rule matches, the default link is used

3. The visitor is redirected to the winning destination

• Redirect happens at the edge (<50ms globally)
• No cookies are set
• The decision is logged for analytics

4. If the destination is down:

• Link Health detects the failure
• Automatic failover sends visitors to backup
